1. Which display adapters are compatible with the DeskTop TV?

The DeskTop TV is compatible with most display adapters that are available on the market that have Video Scaling available.

2. What are the system requirements for the DeskTop TV?

The DeskTop TV requires a free PCI 2.1 compliant slot on the motherboard and a free IRQ.

3. Does the DeskTop TV require an IRQ in order to function?

Yes. The desktop TV requires an IRQ in order to function. Generally you will want to make sure that the TV is not sharing the IRQ with either the display adapter or the sound adapter.

4. What is the Maximum resolution the DeskTop TV can run at full screen?

The display adapter inside your computer determines the maximum resolution that the DeskTop TV can run in full screen mode.

5. I keep getting the error "BT878 No suitable Direct Draw available" after installing the DeskTop TV?

To correct the issue, make sure that you have the latest drivers for your display adapter. If the problem persists, please check to see what color depth you are currently running. If you are running in 32-bit mode, try changing to 16-bit color mode to see if that corrects the issue.

6. I get a pink screen in the window where the TV should be playing instead of a TV picture.

There are several issues that would give a pink screen when starting up the DeskTop TV. To correct this issue, please try the following and it should correct the issue.

1. Make sure your desktop is set to 16 Bit High Color

2. Reinstall Direct X

3. Verify that your video card supports direct draw overlay

4. Upgrade your video card drivers

7. When I try to run the TV application, I get an error message that says the TV is in use by another application, but there is nothing else running.

Check your device manager under the sound video and game controller heading for video capture devices other than the Desktop TV and remove them.

8. Does the Desktop TV support WebTV?

No, the Desktop TV does not currently have the WDM support required to run WebTV. Information on whether or not this product will support WebTV in the future is not available at this time.

9. The TV picture on my Desktop TV looks fine, but I'm not getting any sound?

There is a cable connecting the CDROM to the sound adapter. Remove one end of the cable from the sound adapter, and place that into the DeskTop TV's Audio In connector. Then use the supplied cable to connect the Audio Out of the DeskTop TV to the sound adapter where the CDROM was plugged into originally.

10. Is there any way to get the TV window on the Desktop TV to be always on top of any other item on the desktop?

This feature is not currently supported in the Visual Reality software. As an alternative, you might want to check out a shareware application called "Top It" that will make any window on your desktop the top window. You should be able to find it at http://www.shareware.com
